Hi all! Welcome back to my blog. I know it's been a while, but I am determined to share more with you on my blog! I always love photographing anything wedding. There's so much love in the air! This April, I had a unique opportunity to work with Anthony and Aly last minute. They had a destination wedding, and weren’t planning on having a photographer at the reception, but Aly decided last minute to hire me, after not getting all of the photos she wanted in California. I was very grateful I was available to help meet all of their needs! I am so glad that Aly chose me. This gorgeous and sweet couple made my job easy! The wedding reception was at The Residence Inn, and all of the details were well thought out and put together by the bride and groom themselves! A few more people that helped their wedding go off without a hitch was: Cake Maker: Babe’s bakery (YUM!) Wedding Planner: Aly! Where Dress was Purchased: Margene’s Bridal Aly said that many of the décor items were found from Hobby Lobby, the dollar store, and Amazon. (Which all just happen to be some of my favorites!) Aly said she was able to save money by making sure she purchased the items when they were on sale. She did a fabulous job decorating and making the reception look beautiful (with Anthony’s help, of course!) When I asked Aly what her favorite part of the reception was, she said: “One of our favorite moments from the reception would have to be the lemonade incident. We were in such a rush to make sure everything was perfect before guests started arriving and we were sharing tasks, so Anthony was in charge of getting the drinks ready. Well we both had looked at the pink lemonade container beforehand and that night and calculated enough water to use the whole container. Or so we thought. Anthony promptly measured out the water and dumped the entire container (from Sam's club-so think bulk!) into the drink container. A little while later some of his family members started drinking the pink lemonade and noticed it was extremely strong and sugary. Come to find out we used probably 4x the amount we should have considering the amount of water we had used. We all got a good laugh and his family spent the next half hour trying to water it down so the other guests wouldn't be able to tell. HAHA!” I was there to witness this hilarious moment, and Aly and Anthony handled it with grace and were able to laugh at the incident, which really tells you just how down to earth and sweet they are! You could tell they were really just loving every minute of being married. As for me, one of my personal favorite moments of the wedding was when we were able to sneak away and take some stunning bridal photos, both before and after the reception. I thoroughly enjoyed working with these two! Scroll through to the bottom of these gorgeous photos to see what Aly had to say about working with me! As promised, here is what Aly had to say about working with Lena T. Photography. Thank you for the wonderful and kind review, Aly!
"Our experience with Lena was excellent! I had not planned on having a photographer at our reception since we hired one at our wedding in San Diego. However, since he turned out to be not what we were expecting and we did not get all of the wedding photos that we wanted, I was in a scramble to try and find a photographer for our reception back here. Lena called me immediately after finding out I needed a photographer. She was so helpful and we scheduled a meet in person that same day. She talked to me about what I wanted and expected out of our wedding photos. She was very easy to work with and so easy to talk to. She was early and ready to go when she arrived. She took charge with taking the pictures, but yet still made sure she was getting what we wanted. She was flexible and did not get offended with anything. She got us our photos within weeks of our reception and they turned out beautiful. Exactly what we were hoping for!"
